Marah Connole, LCPC, LAC
Marah Connole is a licensed clinical professional counselor (LCPC) and licensed addiction counselor (LAC). She holds a Master of Science degree in Clinical Health Psychology and Nutrition from Bastyr University and a Bachelor of Art degree in Psychology from the University of Washington. She received clinical training at Bastyr teaching clinic, Seattle Children’s Hospital, mental health agencies in Seattle, and Youth Dynamics and Intermountain Children’s Services in Montana. She is a member of the Association for Contextual Behavioral Science.
Marah has extensive training in acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), mindfulness techniques, trauma focused cognitive-behavioral therapy, and motivational interviewing. In her practice, Marah’s focus is on the whole person with an emphasis on emotion acceptance and commitment to values. She helps clients develop ways to manage difficult emotions such as depression, loneliness, anxiety, and shame.
She also specializes in treating emotional eating issues with an intuitive eating program (no diet and without a focus on weight, size, calories, etc.). Clients learn how to listen to their body and eat for physical hunger and enjoyment, while finding foods that are nourishing.
