Dr. Jeff Roush, Owner and Medical Director
Dr. Roush offers naturopathic primary care to women and their families. Since coming to Helena in 2006 he has developed a reputation for outstanding acute and chronic disease assessment and management, women’s health, menopausal transition management, and total family care. He combines effective conventional and unconventional diagnostic tools including comprehensive history taking, complete physical exam standard lab work, hormone and thyroid testing, as well as digestion and nutritional analysis, to aid in the care of his patients.
As owner and clinic medical director of NMP, Dr. Roush takes responsibility for every aspect of your interaction in the clinic. He supervises all staff including the other clinic physicians. Always feel free to contact him with any NMP concern.
He received his BA in Zoology from Miami University in Oxford, OH and went onto receive his medical degree from Bastyr University, one of the nation’s most prestigious naturopathic medical schools. Dr. Roush has completes annual training in menopausal management through the Institute for Women’s Health and training in integrative cancer care. He carries advanced training in several pain management techniques including Prolotherapy, Prolozone, trigger point injections, and Neuromuscular Reeducation. He has completed extensive training in the use of IV therapies, including the use of high dose Vitamin C for chronic infections and other antioxidants to promote wellness. Dr. Roush has completed post graduate training in the assessment and treatment of chronic Lyme disease and is designated a Lyme Literate Doctor. He also has experience treating chronic disorders including autoimmune disease, gastrointestinal disorders, fibromyalgia, and chronic fatigue syndrome.
Dr. Roush’s teaching background informs his work with patients. He taught human biology at Carroll College in Helena, has taught anatomy and physiology at the doctorate level and spent years teaching wilderness education for the Outward Bound School across North America. Dr. Roush lectures locally and throughout the state on various health topics.
Dr. Roush is committed to our health as individuals and our health as a community. The Helena Chamber of Commerce chose him for Leadership Helena, Class of 2013. He serves on the Board of Directors for Youth Connections and serves in leadership for the Montana Association of Naturopathic Physicians.
Dr. Roush moved from Seattle (and Bastyr University) to Helena in 2006 with his wife, Kirstan, and their two sons, Zane and Mason. Daughter Addison was born here in Helena.
